Tissue-Specific Distribution of Secondary Metabolites in Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Four different parts, hypocotyl and radicle (HR), inner cotyledon (IC), outer cotyledon (OC), seed coat and endosperm (SE), were sampled from mature rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) by laser microdissection. Subsequently, major secondary metabolites, glucosinolates and sinapine, as well as three minor ones, a cyclic spermidine conjugate and two flavonoids, representing different compound categories, were qualified and quantified in dissected samples by high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection and mass spectrometry. No qualitative and quantitative difference of glucosinolates and sinapine was detected in embryo tissues (HR, IC and OC). On the other hand, the three minor compounds were observed to be distributed unevenly in different rapeseed tissues. The hypothetic biological functions of the distribution patterns of different secondary metabolites in rapeseed are discussed.

Review on Nutritional Limitations and Opportunities of using Rapeseed Meal and other Rape Seed by - Products in Animal Feeding
Mustard seeds (Brassica napus) also know as Rape seeds and oil seed rape is very widely cultivated crop throughout the world as major source of oil and protein meal [1]. The oil recovery from mustard seed ranges between 38-44% depending upon the variety and crushing processes [2]. Rapeseed ranks, third in the world production of other oil seed crops [2]. The protein of rapeseed has a well balan...
متن کاملMetabolic Characteristics in Meal of Black Rapeseed and Yellow-Seeded Progeny of Brassica napus-Sinapis alba Hybrids.
Breeding of yellow-seeded rapeseed (Brassica napus) is preferred over black-seeded rapeseed for the desirable properties of the former. This study evaluated the metabolites and nutritive values of black-seeded rapeseed meal and yellow-seeded meal from the progeny of a B. napus-Sinapis alba hybrid. Yellow-seed meal presented higher protein (35.46% vs. 30.29%), higher sucrose (7.85% vs. 7.29%), l...
متن کاملApplication of ZnO Nanoparticles for Inducing Callus in Tissue Culture of Rapeseed
Present study has comparatively investigated the effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), ZnO bulk particles (BPs), and relevant metal ions (Zn2+) on the tissue culture of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) to properly evaluate the impact of ZnO NPs on callus induction. For finding the best hormonal combination for inducing callus, hypocotyl explants were cultured on Murashige ...
متن کاملAllelic Variation of BnaC.TT2.a and Its Association with Seed Coat Color and Fatty Acids in Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.)
Efficient molecular markers for the selection of rapeseed genetic materials with high seed oil content and ideal fatty acid (FA) composition are preferred by rapeseed breeders. Recently, we reported the molecular mechanism of TRANSPARENT TESTA 2 (TT2) in inhibiting seed FA biosynthesis in Arabidopsis. However, evidence showing the association of rapeseed TT2 homologs and seed FA production are ...

In order to study the effect of Pseudomonas fluorescens on growth, morphological characteristics and phosphate uptake by rapeseed (Brassica napus L. Hyola 401), an experiment was performed in 2010. The study was carried out as a randomized complete blocks design with three replications. The treatments included plants inoculation by Pseudomonas fluorescence strain 11, strain 4, strain 169, the d...
